About Stasha Strange
Stasha Powell, also known as Stasha Strange, is a Pushcart Prize–nominated poet and self-described grief alchemist, transforming loss into language through mysticism, emotional truth, and lush sensory imagery. She is the creator, editor, and curator of CAW: Poetry by a Murder of Writers, an anthology. Her poem “Feathered Dislocations” was nominated for the Pushcart Prize by Keeping the Flame Alive Press.
Stasha’s work stitches together themes of mortality, transformation, and forest creatures, creating a morbid and macabre landscape that invites readers to explore the depths of their own souls. With a voice that resonates with those who find solace in the darker aspects of life, her poetry reflects both an intimate inner world and a guiding light for others navigating the complexities of existence.
Her full-length debut poetry collection, Comfort Chaos, is forthcoming in 2026.
