Cleveland, OH — Poet and writer Stasha Powell, known for her vivid imagery, witch-touched lyricism, and emotionally resonant storytelling, has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her poem “Feathered Dislocations.” The nomination was submitted by Keeping the Flame Alive Press, recognizing the strength, originality, and emotional impact of Powell’s work.
The Pushcart Prize honors the finest poetry, short fiction, and essays published by small presses each year. Powell’s nomination marks a significant milestone in her literary journey and reflects her rising presence in contemporary poetry.

Stasha Powell (also writing as Stasha Strange) is a Cleveland-based poet, creative writing student, and advocate whose work explores identity, trauma, magic, and transformation through rich sensory detail and mythic undertones. Her writing has been featured in multiple literary spaces, and her debut collection CAW: Poetry by a Murder of Writers showcases her signature blend of lyrical intensity and witchy atmosphere. Powell is currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry and continues to build a growing body of work rooted in vulnerability, imagination, and fierce emotional clarity.
